Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any experience?
Not at all. The 60-minute intro session is designed for complete beginners. If you want to prepare, you’re welcome to read Verbal Aikido for Beginners — but it’s not required.
What should I bring?
Just your curiosity! Also, if you bring a real‑life situation that created tension for you (i.e. a verbal attack with a clear "trigger phrase"), you may get a chance to see how VA deals with it in the live demo.
Do I need to turn on my camera?
It’s encouraged but not mandatory. Having your camera on helps create a warm, interactive atmosphere, but you’re free to join in the way that feels most comfortable.
What if I feel nervous or shy?
Totally normal. The intro session is gentle, guided, and supportive. You can participate actively or simply observe — both are welcome. You’ll be invited to share, but never pressured. Many people prefer to watch the first time.
Is the session really free?
Yes — completely. It’s our way of giving you a safe, friendly space to discover the method before deciding if you want to go further.
What happens after the intro session?
You’ll know exactly how the method works, what the dojo feels like, and whether you’d like to join the Regular or Express Dojo. There’s no obligation — just an open invitation.
